Our free, confidential online support groups provide a safe space for men across British Columbia to talk, learn, and begin healing — guided by trauma-informed counsellors who understand what you’re going through.

About the Program
The Men’s Advocacy and Support Group is an eight-week, guided program for men who have experienced family or relationship violence.
Each weekly session is held online via secure Zoom, so you can join safely and privately from anywhere in BC.
You’ll receive:
A structured, professionally facilitated group experience
Practical strategies for safety, stress management, and emotional wellbeing
Opportunities to share (only if you want to) in a confidential, non-judgmental environment
Access to information on legal aid, financial supports, and counselling services
Encouragement from other men who understand your experiences
What You’ll Learn
1. Understanding Abuse and Emotional Safety
Recognize emotional, psychological, and physical forms of abuse
Identify coercive control, manipulation, and legal or financial intimidation
2. Safety Planning and Crisis Readiness
Build a personal safety plan for yourself and your children
Prepare emergency contacts, documents, and safe exit strategies
3. Rebuilding Confidence and Boundaries
Manage anxiety, guilt, and self-blame
Set healthy boundaries and rebuild self-esteem
4. Moving Forward and Building Support
Set recovery goals and access follow-up counselling
Connect with ongoing community programs and resources
About the Facilitator
Ryan Levis, B.A., M.A.C.P.
Counsellor and trauma-informed facilitator.
Ryan specializes in men’s emotional wellbeing and recovery from family and relationship violence.
He brings a calm, compassionate presence to each session and focuses on safety, understanding, and long-term healing.

All groups are held in secure, password-protected Zoom meetings
Cameras are optional — you may use a first name or alias
Sessions are not recorded
Registration information is encrypted and stored securely by The Men’s Centre

Format: Online via Zoom
Duration: 8 weeks (two hours per week)
Schedule: Sessions run every Thursday from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM Pacific Time. Sessions run till March 26, 2026.

Eligibility: Open to all BC residents
